One Day Left!!!

In 24 hours I will be sitting at the closing.. add about two more hours to that and I will be a homeowner!! Ahh! So exciting. I have a lot to get done today but it is all worth it. Through all of this packing I have realized some things:
1. I am a lot more like my father than I thought: I do not throw anything away! I still have birthday cards, notes, coasters, receipts, and tons of other things from my past. I had to "sort" through the memories and keep the important ones. Also, I must have over a thousand pens and pencils as well as other office supplies! We used to always get on my dad for not throwing anything away, but I am just like him!!! Help!!! :-)
2. I have WAY too many clothes: I cannot believe how many clothes I have that I DO NOT WEAR! Haha. I have already donated 3 large black garbage bags and I know I will probably have two more. Downsizing is great though!
3. I have a lot of things I forgot I even owned: I guess the problem that comes with owning too much, stuff gets piled on top of each other and gets lost in the "abyss". Hahaha... I am excited to be reunited with long "lost" items and new discoveries.

I am super excited to start this new chapter in my life, but I am also a little scared. Owning a house brings a lot of new things that are now all MY responsibility. I embrace these new adventures with open arms but I know my time will be spread very thin now. When you own a house, your work is never done. There is always something that can be done.

One day these boots are gonna walk all over you!!!

This morning TJ and I headed to meet my best friend Luis out at his work, ProSource to look at flooring. The current flooring "situation" includes carpet and Terrazzo flooring..... if you were like me and had never heard of Terrazzo, don't worry. You aren't missing anything. This is apparently coming back in terms of style, but I reallllly do not like it. See for yourself:
My Realtor tried to "sell" me on the idea by using words such as "durable", "retro" and "low maintenance", but I wasn't biting. Instead this is our game plan- wood laminate in the living room, dining room and hallway, tile in the bathrooms and kitchen, and carpet in the bedrooms. I think it will look really great! We are pretty sure we know what colors we want to paint, but there is one decision we are struggling over.... the living room color. We cannot decide between the two following colors Behr's Athenian Green or Scotland Road. If you have a minute to go on the website and check http://www.behr.com/Behr/home#vgnextoid=6bd8ea6621ca5110VgnVCM1000008119fea9RCRD;channel=EXPLORE;view=14

A BIG thank you to Luis for hooking us up today!!! I am so excited for all of the renovations to start!!!!
